Dear all ,
I am ever so sorry for not posting for so long on this blog as had such a busy summer with our amazing guests at St Michaels
Then had a family holiday break, then bookings for 2018 and doing paper work for us and all , then celebrating David`s birthday that lasted a few days :)
Then had kids (our daughter`s friends) on and off for numerous sleep overs (SLEEP OVERS
- is it an ENGLISH thing? or is it some sort of ... NEW GENERATION "thing!"? When I was growing up we never had one of "those" :)
only if our closest friends would invite us as a family and only then we will get together and stay over night even adults and kids - what a fun it must have been - I am still a very close friend of that family - they are like a PROPER family to us all! )
Coming back to our summer - hoping you all did not miss out an amazing air show that my brother in law Gerald McCarthy and his friends organised for us all!
Unfortunately my husband was out of action that day ... as had some surgery a day before ... and still recovering .. so I have a perfect patient one moment and a "naughty patient" another!
When David comes in to St Michaels (as he ALWAYS thinks of the things to improve in our beautiful holiday home) .. but being so weak he is unable to do much (! but thinks he can do it all!) so thats when the DOUBLE TROUBLE starts!!!!!!
I am not one of the patient women who can sit and calmly explain themselves if say I am on the balcony of St Michaels doing some bits and with the corner of my eye seeing my dear husband .. LIFTING things i.e hot tub lid etc I do not sit and keep quiet I DO SHOUT out at the top of my voice "scaring" our dear housekeeper Annie :) sorry dear, but that`s just me .. although David did not hear a word of it and my vocal cords are now "damaged" :)) - haha!
must have added this "effect" in the evening after visiting a wonderful birthday surprise party organised by my dear Russian friend for her mum :)
we giggled and laughed and took huge amount of photos :) so really sorry to all of you who visited the restaurant at the same time as us we are NOT always this loud and naughty :) it was simply because we only get together once in a million years now .. although live not too far away - including counting - the km over seas in different countries :)))
Anyway - enough said! In a few days (!!) kids will be BACK TO SCHOOL (WOOP WOOP!) not sure why am I so happy about it - suppose because I will (hopefully) get my quiet mornings back )) and will be able to catch up on .. more reading ( I wish) , sleeping (as if) , planning my projects (which ones?! as got so many) , and maybe FINALLY will get to go to the GYM (did I just say a swear word?! ) :))
and to top up all this - SILLY ME - I even put in WRITING .. to one of the brilliant coaches - that I will START ... a KA- RA- TE (OMG!) lessons in Sept ..
also - will start singing family lessons (hoping will convince my husband to do that!! - his answer will be .. NEVER) :)
and also - of course I wanted to come back to my dancing lessons - as SO MUCH FUN !
and .. still need to take off that dust off my sewing machine :) that kept untouched throughout summer holidays ... LIAR!! as made some cushions for St Michaels the other week :)
and in "between" I will still need to find time to work at my fav place of all - the pharmacy with my dear colleagues and of course at St Michaels ..
oh I totally forgot to thank all of you (can not believe you actually read all my nonsense :) that I just typed here) :) - would love to thank all our lovely guests who stayed at St Michaels this summer , who left such kind reviews,who shared all your special memories with us , one of the photo I would post here :)
we look forward meeting you all in future one day! It was AMAZING to meet you all ! and we look forward meeting new guests soon
